EM Search Consulting (EMSC) wants every visitor to be able to read, navigate, and contact us on emsc.com regardless of ability or the technology they use.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for people with a wide range of disabilities.

What we do

Accessibility is part of how this site is designed, built, and maintained. Current measures include:

  • Semantic HTML landmarks, a single H1 per page, and a logical heading order.
  • Keyboard-reachable navigation, menus, forms, and interactive panels, with a visible skip-to-content link.
  • Descriptive alternative text on informative images and empty alt text on decorative imagery.
  • Color contrast targets of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large type and interface components.
  • Respect for the prefers-reduced-motion setting: decorative animation, marquees, and parallax are disabled when it is on.
  • Text that reflows at 200% zoom and layouts that work on small screens.

Known limitations

Some third-party embeds, such as call-tracking widgets or review platforms, are controlled by their providers and may not fully meet our standard. Some older downloadable documents may not be tagged for screen readers. We are working through these items and will update this page as they are resolved.
