Are You Ready For Mobilegeddon in Chicago?

Google has officially launched “mobilegeddon” and your site could be in severe danger of losing its current rank or falling further into the archives of search if you do not pass the mobile test. Organic results on mobile devices will now have a bias towards sites that are considered mobile friendly. To find out if your site is mobile friendly you can take the mobile friendly test . This announcement is not new as it was originally announced earlier this year but today is the day that the update began its roll out. If your site has not been updated in a while it is time to move.

The rollout will also show a new tag in PPC ads. The tag will show that a site is mobile friendly and we are sure this will directly impact quality score soon if it doesn’t already. To add more urgency, in June Google is rolling out more updates for mobile PPC to make campaigns easier to measure successes/failures on desktop vs mobile traffic.

We have been turning sites around for clients in 30-45 days recently and are offering some incentives to act now if you haven’t already. Not only will it be good for SEO but it will be good for your business. Think about it, does your current site really reflect your business properly? Does it look as good as your storefront, trucks, uniforms and other marketing material that is in front of potential clients everyday? If it doesn’t now is the time to update your site. With that said, even our site is in need of an update to reflect what we have been up to over the past few years so we understand how you might have put a site re-design on the back burner. We simply haven’t had time to revamp ours since we have been busy making our 70+ client’s sites more efficient but we should have time in May and June to finally update our site. If you are interested in seeing some of our recent work we are happy to share it with you, just contact us.
