$100 Million in Small Business Grants from Facebook!

To help boost small businesses negatively impacted by the current situation, Facebook announced earlier this week they will be giving away $100 million in cash grants and ad credits to up to 30,000 eligible businesses!  Here’s what you need to know to apply.

  1. Check to see if your business is eligible for the grant. Facebook is offering grants to businesses that have been in business for over a year, and have between 2 and 50 employees. 
  2. Make sure grants are available in your geographic area. All eligible cities in the United States are officially able to submit applications. Check to see if you are in an eligible area here
  3. Be prepared to provide all necessary documents. In order to apply for the grant, you’ll need to provide at least one of the below documents. The application will also ask you to share general business information, contact information, and a summary of how you would use the cash grant.
    • Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN)
    • Partnership documents
    • Business license
    • Proof of incorporation
    • Official registration
  4. Plan how you will use the funds. In your application for the grant, Facebook will want to understand how you would use your grant funds to make an impact on your business or in your community. For example, you can use the funds to provide essential resources through pick-up or delivery or use the funds to continue paying your employees.
